AMMOUSO BAY
is one of the most beautiful bays in the south of Lefkada, very quiet and with a few houses scattered in the area.
It is immersed in the green of olive trees and sided by a series of little beaches (most of which reachable by car).
Close to the main beach there is a local restaurant, open all day.
CASA NOSTOS is one of the few villas of the Ammouso Bay and is located on a hill, 600 metres from the seaside.
The closest village is Marantochori, 3 km far.
At a distance of 8 km there is Vassiliki, one of the main villages of the island, with several supermarkets, pharmacy, medical centre.
Vassiliki is bright with shops, little reastaurants, cafes.
From Vassiliki leave the little boats to reach the many beaches of the Island and the ferry boat for Ithaca-Kefalonia.

FOR WINDSURF LOVERS
The Vassiliki spot is only 10 minutes by car from the villa (easy parking available). It is easy to find storage for the windsurf equipment, rentals and lessons.
In Vassiliki the morning wind is perfect for begineers, while in the afternoon the strong wind blows for experts.

LEFKADA ISLAND
in the centre of the main Ionian Islands,

is rich in beaches and spectcacular cliffs

The island and the surrounding area has a lot to offer – anything from sailing, windsurfing, cycling, scuba-diving, walking, exploring ancient archaeological sites or just that lazy beach holiday. You will probably find some of the most picturesque views around.

According to archeologist Wilhelm Dorpfeld, Lefkada could be the real Ithaka where Ulysses come back home.
